🇯🇵 Miss Dior x Haruka Kojin

Twelve artists around the world were chosen to interpret the iconic fragrance Miss Dior and show their work in the Miss Dior Exhibition at the Le Château de La Colle Noire near Grasse on the French Riviera. One of them is Japanese artist Haruka Kojin (荒神 明香). Her installation is truly beautiful and so delicate, perfectly matching Dior’s refined elegance. You can see her working in the video on top of the post.

This is not her first collaboration with the high fashion brand. In 2019, she participated in the collaborative redesign of the Lady Dior bag, along with ten other female artists. You can see her creation in this video (Japanese with English subtitles), where she explains her work:

This summer, Haruka Kojin was widely talked about in Japan. While I was in Tokyo in July this year, the collective “me” (目 = eye) which she is a part of, made a giant hot air balloon representing a woman’s head, as a promotion for the Tokyo Olympics. It flew slowly in the city for a day, near Yoyogi Park. This project, called Masayume (正夢 = prophetic dream), surprised and shocked many Tokyoites, and was the talk of the internet that day. Whether you like or not, the idea is pretty incredible and bold! You can watch the collective’s Japanese interview with English subtitles here:
